Meeting Santa

We started the Santa festivities on Friday at the kid's school. Olivia's kindergarten class had a winter concert for their parents and Santa visited at the end. Olivia's teacher is great about letting each child had his or her moment with Santa. She doesn't rush them and she invited Ben to sit with Olivia and Santa.

We spent Christmas eve at Granny's house with Santa of course. They kids love seeing him. Olivia was worried that Santa had really found out that she had been naughty this year. She was the last one to be called to sit on his lap. She was sweating it big time, even to the point of trying to hide a few tears. Never fear Olivia, he knows all (including the fact that you are a true sweet and wonderful girl, who has her moments of being a regular kid who can find her way into trouble). Thank you Granny for always loving us and being our Granny.

Ben's first christmas and he slept through most of it with the expection of a break to eat and eat and eat.

Christmas 2008

We started our morning with stockings filled by Santa, cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and a ton of presents. I love Christmas morning. It was always such a fun time for me growing up. I love watching the kids. This year, Ben and I were up early to eat, we woke up Dad so we could get breakfast cooking, and just a few minutes later, we heard the pounding of footstep flying down the stairs followed by "Merry Christmas, Mommy and Daddy!"

We enjoyed Christmas lunch with Nana and Papa. The kids got so many presents and they were so happy. They love being with their Nana and Papa.

Jacob the Disney pirate. We had a great time with Grams, Pops, Al, and Cheri at my parents house in the evening. Dinner was delicious and as always, so was dessert.

Here we are at the end of a very busy day. I think I was lucky to have Josh with me to guide me back into the car and finally home. Merry Christmas everyone.

Who Does Ben Look Like?

We have Olivia at 2 weeks, Jacob at 3 weeks, and Ben at 2-1/2 weeks. I think he looks like Jacob.

First Bath

Benny took is first tub bath on Tuesday evening. He loved it until it was time to get out. I think we have another fish on our hands. Sorry for the shot of your man parts, Ben. It was Dad, not me.

First Christmas Tree

We went on Saturday to get our family Christmas tree. Usually, we bundle up at night and get the tree, but this year we made an afternoon trip. The kids had a great time looking for just the perfect tree. We ended up with one that is too big for our livingroom, but Josh had that starry eyed look about him and I knew I wasn't going to be able to talk him out of it. So, now we have a tree that is scrapping the ceiling, is sticking out too far into the room, and you can't see all of the couch, but everyone is happy.
